In My Words

"Don't ever lose faith in who you are, for that's what makes you different.
Don't try to turn yourself into someone everyone else is, for if that happens, the world is a poorer place."

i told myself that i'm going to have to blog today. why so? simply because i have things to blog about! but first things first, i shall complain!

i was bathing just now.. happily singing Javert's "Stars" (yeah i sing in the shower, SO WHAT?) "stars..... in your multitudes..." and picked up the bottle of Andrew Collinger shampoo that smells like rockmelon, and shampooed my hair.. then you know, gotta wash off the foam and stuff (by this time i had already stopped singing. of course lah! i don't drink shampoo foam) and HORROR! the water started turning cold. and colder, and even colder.... grrrrr... i can go out without shampooing my hair (very reluctantly though) but i cannot go out without soaping myself clean! so i had made a quick job out of it and continued bathing in the cold water.

i'm shivering as i type but what the heck. it pays to be clean.

but yeahhhhh.. last night was a dirty night. and before you all get the wrong idea, i went to watch Chicago the musical, at a super cheap price of 15 pounds! but we didn't sit at the super cheap balcony or the super far back seats... we sat at the 8th row from the front of the stalls! at the centre of the row as well. yeah babeh... that was probably one of the best seats i ever had in my theatre-going career, and Chicago definitely would be up there as one of the shows i'd recommend people to have a nice evening out. sure enough, slinky females in smooth black undergarments may cause a few palpitating pulses, but hey, excuse me, don't forget to watch the well choreographed dance moves as well!

here's where i redeem myself. each move has a distinct meaning behind it. might be "smooth operator" or "swanky missus" or even "come to me baby...." but bodily actions lend a lot to words and music .. (which were quite good as well) . a well thought out production backed by a stellar and spontaneous orchestra (not banished to some pit for once), Chicago really lived up to all that jazz. oops, hype.

and i must say that the 15 pounds was made even more worth it because Marti Pellow (the ex wet wet wet) frontman played the role of sleazeball lawyer billy flynn, and i'm now a fan. nice baritone voice (i hope i got this definition correct) and a fantastic set of lungs. he does look the part i'd say. and ooooohhhhh Frances Ruffelle! "An angel with a dirty face" yeah. says it all. i'm not interested in the face, but i'm sorry. that voice is tops. i've a thing for that husky, sexy, "comeontomebaby" voice. but.. but... but.... i still can't put that face and that voice to Shu(3)-nu(3) Eponine! argh.

okay. i'm off to school now. missed a tort lecture this morning (thanks to occupiers liability last night) and i'm not keen to miss any more.

ta-dah!

a blog entry.
