"Don't ever lose faith in who you are, for that's what makes you different.
Don't try to turn yourself into someone everyone else is, for if that happens, the world is a poorer place."
- Sept 2005
- that's the title of one of my favourite episodes from Band of Brothers, which closer friends know has a deeper meaning to me than most other films. or tele-series to be exact. It's because that particular episode, it becomes apparent what their blood, sweat and tears were for.
I like to transpose that tagline into one facet of my life.
Why I look forward to Saturdays.
Yes, despite an increasingly dodgy right shoulder, a very dodgy right knee and a thousand and one other things on my mind I roll out of bed, stuff down my breakfast and off I am to school for netball. There is very little else for me to look forward to other than netball at the moment, even though i'm not the one playing, but it's something special to me.
But I can't put a finger on, nor describe in words why i feel that particular way. I don't know. I just feel it.
On another note, I think i've solved a problem which has been bugging me for some time. I hope it all pans out. Everything can look good on paper but sometimes it can be a totally different proposition in reality.
