In My Words

"Don't ever lose faith in who you are, for that's what makes you different.
Don't try to turn yourself into someone everyone else is, for if that happens, the world is a poorer place."
- Sept 2005

To say that it's mildly disappointing will be understating it, but you know, the feeling of being so close yet so far? Sometimes you just wish that things could be so much better, but yet there's this nagging feeling that it's not meant to happen, and you should be happy with your lot in life. It's one thing to be content, and it's another to settle. And it's another thing just to let it be

But it looks increasingly like it's not meant to be. And becky's words come starkly to mind, "you should never have bothered in the first place."

And it couldn't have been timed better, because I realise, that one thing I have been looking forward to is for someone to make that magical difference in my life. But it appears, that there is no such magic in this world, my world at least.

I'm disappointed with myself. I feel some of that cast-iron discipline and determination slipping away, and I wave it off with a simple "I'm not in the zone." Tired I may be, but it's no excuse to run away from this that matters so much to me. I'm sorry, I disappointed today, but I won't anymore.

Not after I heard our anthem of the days past.

I'm sorry, I know that's a strange way to tell you that I know we belong
That I know

That I am
I am
I am
The luckiest

- Because I truly am.
